Full spectrum lamps are rod-shaped three-band fluorescent lamps with a diameter of 26 mm or 16 mm. Their light corresponds to the spectral composition of daylight, which is why these are often called full-spectrum daylight fluorescent lamps. Therefore they have a higher proportion of ultraviolet (UV) light than regular fluorescent lamps. In full spectrum lamps - intended for general lighting - is the UV component reduced to protect against high radiation doses. Because of the higher UV output full spectrum lamps are also used for medical and therapeutic purposes. They allow the controlled use of UV radiation, which in excess is damaging as is well known (e.g. "sun-burn"). With these properties light color and color rendering correspond with other De-luxe-flourescent lamps with the light color Daylight-white with the ID 965.
