Now the voices against the energy-saving lamp are becoming louder. A discussion has begun whether energy-saving lamps pose a hazard by electromagnetic smog in the household. But the Federal Office for Radiation Protection has given an all-clear on this. The optical radiation and the magnetic/electric fields do not exceed the internationally recommended levels. The energy saving lamp can thus be used as lighting in the home.</p>
